IsolationPoint, a new isolation / lockout tagout, procedure management system is now available from Redbusbar Pty Ltd.
IsolationPoint is different because it provides:
High accuracy isolation procedures - Isolation point secondary identification. Uses human and machine methods ( barcode / RFID scanning ) to independently identify and provide identity verification of the isolation point to be operated. In essence, it provides cross checking with only one Isolation Officer!
Low administration overhead yielding reduced costs - Procedure self auditing, automatic archiving, who executed which plan and when, average time to execute and lock and tag lists, are incorporated to reduce administrative overhead while providing useful information to aid future maintenance / shutdown isolation planning.
IsolationPoint manages all phases of an isolation procedure's lifecycle. Put simply, it manages the development, execution, archiving and reporting of safety isolation procedures.
The system was conceived and developed by the engineers at Redbusbar over a period of 2 years. It has undergone a rigorous design and testing phase incorporating forced error, function and performance trials.
IsolationPoint is being released this week at the Western Mining Electrical Association conference, Salt Lake City, USA. Next week it will be demonstrated at the Mining Electrical Safety Conference, Brisbane, Australia.
