SwitchFix & Pajingo
Late last year Pajingo approached Redbsubar to design, manufacture and supply a range of SwitchFix Isolator Locks suitable for the Tearaski XTFH circuit breaker handles. |
An isolating mistake involving locking a handle in the "on" position and commencing maintenance work could have yielded a serious accident. The mistake which could be easily repeated triggered immediate management action to rectify.

The first approach was to investigate the availability of alternative handles that required signifcant travel from the "on" to the "off" position and handles that simply could not be locked "on". Enquiries to the supplier of Terasaki in Australia did not bear fruit. |
Earlier in 2004, senior Pajingo management witnessed Redbusbar's range of SwitchFix at the Mining Electrical Safety Conference in Brisbane. That event triggered the initiation of the design, manufacture and supply of the new SwitchFix Isolator Locks suitable for the Tearaski XTFH circuit breaker handles.
Pajingo
Pajingo’s underground mining operations are located 69 kilometers (43 miles) south of the former gold mining center of Charters Towers in northern Queensland. The Newmont mine currently employs approximately 300 workers, all of whom commute from Charters Towers. Pajingo produced 340,500 equity ounces of gold in 2003.
